30 Years of Maritime Heritage

The story behind the name that redefined whale watching in Tenerife
The Legacy (Tradition)
It all started in 1990. While others saw the ocean as a business, we saw a sanctuary. For nearly three decades, our captain and crew have navigated the Teno-Rasca waters, learning the language of the tides and the secret paths of the Pilot Whales. We are the pioneers of respectful observation in Puerto Colón.
The Legend of bonadea: our heritage
In 1993, the original Bonadea II first set sail, marking the beginning of our deep connection with the Atlantic. For 25 years, she was our home and our classroom. While that iconic vessel has now retired, her spirit lives on in every expedition we lead today. We carry her name with pride as we continue her legacy of ocean conservation.
2018: A New Era. The Diomedea.
In 2018, we chose to redefine the Atlantic experience. We launched the Diomedea, our flagship vessel specifically engineered for high-performance eco-tours. Moving away from massive crowds, we invested in a swifter, quieter, and more sustainable way to connect with marine life. Now it’s not just our only boat—it’s the perfect one.

Guardians of the Teno-Rasca (ZEC)

Our mission is simple yet profound: to bridge the gap between humans and the ocean without leaving a trace. We don't just operate tours; we act as stewards of the Teno-Rasca Special Conservation Area (ZEC).

As proud signatories of the Sustainability Charter (Carta de Sostenibilidad), our commitment goes beyond words. We adhere to the strictest eco-protocols, ensuring that every encounter is quiet, respectful, and non-intrusive. From active plastic collection to acoustic monitoring with our onboard hydrophones, we protect the home of the whales we love. For us, conservation isn't a choice—it’s the legacy we leave for the generations to come.
Clean Seas: Our Daily Commitment
The ocean gives us everything, and we give back by keeping it pristine. During every expedition, our crew remains vigilant for floating plastics and abandoned fishing gear. We don’t just sail past pollution; we stop, we recover, and we dispose of it responsibly. By removing these hazards from the Teno-Rasca sanctuary, we ensure a safer environment for the cetaceans and a cleaner legacy for the Atlantic.
Rescue & Release: Life Beyond the Tour
Conservation is at the core of our DNA. We work in close soul-alignment with local rescue centers like 'La Tahonilla' to assist in the recovery of injured or distressed marine species. From rescuing entangled sea turtles to monitoring the health of our resident whale populations, our boat serves as a frontline guardian. There is no greater reward for us than witnessing a recovered animal return to its home in the deep blue.
